On this day 11 years ago Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer played their first match at the third round of the Miami Masters. Our champ beat Roger 6-3, 6-3 in just 69 minutes. It was the first of Rafa’s victories over Federer in 33 meetings. Their record now stands at 23-10, with Rafa in the lead.

Well as if now nadal is struggling to beat players whim fed genius beats with ease..and fed has not played rafa over a year.the next step in rafa career is to retire with mutual respect . otherwise it will be too late and his career win percentage will significantly dip.for some reason fed has found it difficult to play rafa.he even gets frustrated due to the top spin.now? Well it is a different story.rafa no where to be seen..
I don’t think we are going to have a rivalry like this in the future. It is not the same with Djokovic or Murray for Fedal has an aura of charisma, charm, beauty on top of amazing matches. Let’s enjoy while it lasts!
Hopefully Rafa can improve the h2h to 30-10;) but i have so much respect for Federer.
