Rafael Nadal beats Pablo Carreño Busta to reach quarter-finals of Rio Open [PHOTOS]

World No. 3 Rafael Nadal reached the quarterfinals of the Rio Open on Thursday, defeating Pablo Carreño Busta 7-5, 6-3. Next up for Rafa is sixth seed Pablo Cuevas, who beat Albert Montanes 6-2, 6-2 in 69 minutes.

Rafael Nadal: “Tough conditions, a difficult, young opponent and I’m just content to be in the quarterfinals. For me every victory is important, and even more so on clay.” (via AP)
