The victory against Mikhail Youzhny earned Rafael Nadal a quarter-final meeting with Andy Murray. Rafa leads their FedEx ATP Head2Head series 13-5, winning their last clay-court contest in straight sets in the 2011 Roland Garros semi-finals. Andy has never beaten our champion on clay, however, taking just one set from the Spaniard in four meetings on the surface.

Good Luck Rafa you are number one
Vamos Rafa!!
Today is Andy Murray’s birthday 🙂
Congrats to him and tomorrow. .. Rafa wins!
And Madrid??? Not a “great” win, but you forgot that title in his 32-5 record! Boy it’s not easy on anyone’s nerves to be a Rafa fan, is it? But HE seems to enjoy the struggle. Whatever works for him, I guess. I color my grey anyway . . . Let’s continue the success again Andy!
Just added it. Thanks Debby!
Although Rafa has been struggling of late against the likes of Youzhny, Simon, Nishikori, Almagro and Ferrer, their aggressive tactics will, hopefully, better prepare him for future matches against his main rival, Novak Djokovic.
Sooner or later, Rafa will figure out that he MUST STAY IN ATTACK MODE, especially when he’s ahead on the scoreboard, and especially on big points, if he expects to win more slams and eventually overtake Federer in that department.
Rafa plays his best tennis when he’s in attack mode, and his best tennis is certainly required to defeat Djokovic, and on occasion, other opponents as well.
VAMOS!!!
vamos rafa nadal wish u luck, God bless you more
