On hard courts Rafa needs to do what left handers do best: serve and volley!! To do so will force Rafa to be more aggressive on his second serve. His volleys are already good enough and he has a great smash. He should work with either Tony Roche or John McEnroe.
Dom may be right. It couuld be better if you play less but better in the matches. It could be better if you pay very close attention to your timing. If you get that perfect then maybe you will not tax your body too much.
Novak just played his routine game, your just starting to lose it, getting old and slow and weaker. Because your style of high intensity game in the past, your wearing out a lot more quicker than other players.
Hey Dom…. I totally deny your comment…. In sport there are always words called “in-form” and “out of form”.. I agree that Novak played his usual game…but Rafa did not…. He was off his game…. As a Rafa fan, I could easily see that he isn’t in his usual game after a open… Takes time for athletes to overcome fitness issues….back issue or what ever….. But you can’t comment about his game due to age…. And wear off???? What do you mean… If so, federer would have been torn apart by now…. You can say Rafa doesn’t play his game if he plays like this for another year or two…. But not for 2,3 months…..

you are still # 1 Rafa. and no Novac. is not better then you by any means, he just was better in this Match then you, I could tell you were sluggish and not moving or serving as well as you have been in this Tournament and I could see that you were not 100& today, I made a remark to my son that you were not playing like the Rafa that we know and he agreed, butr anyway Novac. played very well and congrads to him. so see you soon Rafa on the Clay,. Novak is not better player than you but you had a bad day and he took that advantage, then he played better than you. But I liked a lot the way that you were looking after the match, not upset at all and calm, that’s a good sign and I’m sure that there are many good things ahead for you and of course for us
