In another decisive victory, Rafael Nadal defeated Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-2 to reach the quarterfinals at the Sony Open in Miami, where will face Canadian Milos Raonic.
Rafa broke early in both sets and fought with as much gusto as his third round match to break Fognini several times. Fognini was agitated, at one point requesting a trainer to check out the heavy strapping on his thigh, but Rafa played his game consistently, and got through with a victory.
Another great win! On to the quarterfinals! Vamos, Rafa!

Rafa , very impressive win against Sock . I look forward to seeing you beat Fognini in the semis . I forsee the same fireworks as in previous matches against Fognini . He really cannot handle very deliberate play and I would recommend taking your time as much as possible just to unnerve him and get him riled up . He played so well against Nishokori that we must take him out of his game by making him run as much as possible and not to dictate play from the baseline by spraying winners ! Anyway , Vamos Rafa will prevail !
