Will Rafael Nadal End His Career with One Last Title? Carlos Alcaraz Hopes So!

Having battled through illness this week, Carlos Alcaraz finished his performance in Turin at the ATP Finals with two losses and one win. However, his early exit does at least mean he has more time to prepare for Spain’s Davis Cup opener against the Netherlands in Malaga on Tuesday, which is sure to be an emotional occasion as tennis prepares to say goodbye to beloved Rafael Nadal.

“Probably one of the most special tournaments that I’m going to play. Last tournament of Rafa, I’ll be able to be next to him in the last moments on a tennis court for him,” said Carlos.

“When I was a kid, I’d dream about winning the Davis Cup for Spain. This year we have a really special chance to win it. I will try to help the team to win the Davis Cup for me.

“But I think it’s most important for Rafa, for his last tournament. I really want him to retire with a title. It’s going to be really, really emotional and a really special tournament for me.”

No matter the outcome next week, we will cherish each moment of Rafa’s last dance and be forever thankful for everything he has taught us and for all the joy he has given us over the years.

Vamos Rafa, Vamos Nadalcaraz, Vamos España!
