The Netflix Slam was an exhibition tennis match between Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz held in front of a packed audience in Las Vegas.
Rafa’s whole family was there, but the spotlight was stolen by his adorable son, Rafa Junior. Many celebrities also wanted to see that match, such as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, Matthew Stafford, Pau Gasol, Jordan Love, Colin Kaepernick, Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, and Sean McVay.
After two months of not playing in front of fans due to a left hip injury, we were more than happy to see our champion, even though he lost in a tight tiebreak (6-2, 4-6, 12-14). Vamos Rafa and good luck at the Indian Wells Masters next week!

I used to work at the weather radar station and to a normal person, it looks like the rain is unpredictable especially when the sun is still out. But the weather patterns and data shows that the rain builds and gathers slowly even against the sunny sky. This is what happens to Nadal. These injuries don’t come out of the blue even if he looks physically sunny.
One part of Rafa’s game is as strong as ever, the forehand. The other parts of his game will follow.

The Indian Wells draw is out. Rafa plays Raonic in R1, followed by Rune in R2. I’m not looking too far ahead, but I just want to see Rafa get a few wins and play some amazing tennis!

Thanks for the lovely pictures, RNF. Great to see Rafa back on court in a fun exhibition match which could’ve gone either way. Good party atmosphere and It served as a nice little workout for Rafa before IW.
So exciting to see him back on the court, he looked great, maybe he’s not 100% but I’ll take it!!! His focus is Paris so wishing that he accomplishes that.

I was so happy to see Rafa on court again and he looked good, moving well and making some great shots. Looks like he has completely recovered from the hip issue. Not completely up to his top form, but when more play I have no doubt he’ll get there! And it was definitely a competitive match. Plus he looked so delighted to be back on court again!! So happy for him and can’t wait to watch more of him in the coming months!!!
