Ace of Hearts: A Children’s Book about Rafael Nadal

22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal is the protagonist of the new edition of the children’s collection “Pequeño & Grande” by the Alba publishing house.

This is a tale that recounts his journey from his beginnings in his hometown to becoming the world number 1.

The story is accompanied by illustrations by Rocio Ledesma and text by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vergara.

“Rafa Nadal was born in 1986 in the Mallorcan town of Manacor into a family of athletes. At just fifteen years old, he turned professional; at nineteen, he held the second position in the world rankings of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), and by twenty-two, he became the world number one. He has won twenty-two Grand Slam titles, including fourteen at Roland Garros, two at Wimbledon, two at the Australian Open, and four at the US Open. Confidence in himself, perseverance, and never giving up on any point are some of the keys to his success. He is considered one of the greatest tennis players in history,” reads the synopsis of this publication for children aged 6 and above.

Given the upcoming holiday season, Spanish parents have a perfect gift idea for their kids. Die-hard Rafa fans would also hope for an English translation to have it in their hands.

  1. He is a GOAT to the Tennis World from the dedications, grits, passions, attitudes towards players and people on & off the court, down to earth spirit of helping others…too many words to describe Rafa’s natures and virtues!👌
Being a GOAT doesn’t have to be with a good number of winning Grand Slam tournaments like other cocky player(s) who is anti-vax, and ….I don’t want to say the silly name out😉.

  2. Lillian, you said it all. It’s a must have in my collection. I hope this book will be an inspiration to millions of young children.

  3. Very cute! I may even buy it in the Spanish – my high school Spanish plus Google is probably up to that. 🙂
