The newly-crowned Wimbledon champion expressed his gratitude for the message, recognizing the weight of receiving such well-wishes from someone he has long looked up to.

Yes, yes, Rafa sent me a message. First he sent it to wish me luck for the final and I appreciate it. That someone like him, an idol of my childhood and who continues to be so, sends you strength and luck for the most important moment of your life is something to admire.

As a young player climbing the ranks of professional tennis, having the backing of an icon like Rafa undoubtedly boosts one’s confidence and belief in their abilities.

Also, the exchange of messages between Carlitos and Rafa prior to the Wimbledon final showcases the beauty of mentorship and the enduring bonds formed within the tennis community.

As fans, we can only hope that this tradition of sportsmanship and mutual respect continues to thrive in the world of tennis, leaving an indelible legacy for future players to follow.

  1. Not sure how Spain produces these champions just incredible!!!!!
Must sadly add to previous comment about loosing interest in watching – must also add Carlos has once again showed he is a force to be reckoned with – for this I thank you.
I hope Rafa will just one more time make a comeback so we can watch the man who brought to life the game of tennis to millions of people around the world.

  2. Rafa is a great sportsman, gentleman, and a great compatriot, not selfish at all. Miss him so much that I lose interest sometimes when he is not playing. I love the positive energy he gives in every game he plays, and get frustrated with guys who plays the sports but couldn’t control their own emotions and doesn’t know how to be a sportsman.

  3. I’m so happy Rafa sure must helped Alcaraz raised the confidence to not be fear or nerves and go and do it💪 ❤️👏👏

  4. So proud of both of you guys…. I definetely miss Rafa on the courts but I can take Carlos in his place 👏👏👏

  5. It’s always nice to hear that Rafa is supporting the next generation of athletes, especially someone so talented and hardworking!

  6. I’ve always said it, Rafa is just an all round nice guy and a gentleman. A credit to the game.
