Rafael Nadal: “I think there is a way to improve” [VIDEO]

Rafael Nadal’s press conference following his loss against Cameron Norrie in Group D of the United Cup 2023.

“Every time I come to a press conference, it seems like I have to retire. You are very, very interested in my retirement. At the moment, it’s not the case. When this day comes, I will let you know. But don’t go on about retirement because I’m here to continue playing tennis.”

  1. That’s right. You tell them Rafa. Anyone would be sick abd tired of tge same question over abd over again. The press are hungry for any scraps of “news”. When you’re winning they say nothing about retirement. Right now Rafa is determined to get a win for his team in the doubles Good luck champ.

  2. I love the way you laugh when you talk to these non tennis educated press! Obviously not knowing about your 2022 fabulous season!!
    Keeping laughing!!!💕💕🎾

  3. Love your laughter in your speaking….Obviously some press are not aware of your fabulous 2022 season!!!

  4. Rafa is too much distracted these days. He should focus on the game.. Looks like he will have a very average 2023.. Most likely winning FO.. thats all.. Lost all matches but 1 since USO..

  5. I’ve said it before, I will say it again…. Rafa is number TWO in the world yet all the press can see is the number 36 – his clearly non-applicable to his game age. Knock it off with looking for non-existent reasons for him to retire!! It’s too bad these press conferences are obligatory. Rafa clearly doesn’t like doing them. I wish he could just avoid the ridiculous press and not do them. For his sake if nothing else.

Entitled to lose like everyone else. Go beat Alex! Vamos, Rafa!!

  6. The good thing about the United Cup format is that a loss doesn’t knock Rafa out of the tournament. Rafa will be right back on the court in a couple of days.

I’m not ready to make a judgment on Rafa’s serve. He needs to clean up the double faults to be sure. But is his serve an effective weapon? I’m willing to wait and see.

  7. Rafa , this will be another spectacular year for you . Wstching the match against Norrie , i saw a powerful serve and volley game and if despatched you will have an edge on every opponent . Better to be on the attack and the offensive than to play defensive tennis on the hard service . But of course , you know this and its easier said than done . Retirement is not even remotely in the cards . Winning more slams is everything ! Vamos Rafa !

  8. Rafa, keep fighting. It is no one’s call but yours. We support you as long as you wish to compete, regardless of journalistic drivel👏👍💪🤛🍀🎾❤️
