While the calendar Grand Slam remains on the cards, Moya warned Nadal is only halfway to completing the illustrious haul as the Spaniard heads to Wimbledon.
“It is a realistic goal, right now he is the only one that can achieve it this year,” Moya told Eurosport Spain.
“It is the first time in his career that he is in a position to achieve it, but we see it as something far away, it is only halfway. At the moment he doesn’t lose sleep, as a team few things keep us up at night and this is not one of them. We have to go little by little, it is not something that we talk about, it is not a primary objective, although we are not going to give up on it.”

“Rafa is one of the favourites at Wimbledon, comes with a lot of confidence and is difficult to beat. He is among the five best athletes in history and has changed the sport with what he has achieved throughout his career. If Rafa is good mentally and plays confidently, he is a favorite,” Ferrer said.
He’s pulled off the Roland Garros-Wimbledon double twice before. He achieved one of the toughest doubles in tennis in 2008 and 2010, which was when there was only a two-week grass court lead-up season between the two. He’s one of just two men in the Open Era to pull off the Roland Garros-Wimbledon double multiple times, alongside Bjorn Borg, who did it three straight years in 1978, 1979 and 1980.
Vancouver and Berlin have been named as host cities for the Laver Cup in 2023 and 2024 respectively, following a comprehensive and competitive bidding process. The news comes as preparations ramp up for this year’s event, which will take place at The O2 in London this September.
The Laver Cup will be staged at Vancouver’s Rogers Arena from September 22-24, 2023 while Berlin’s Mercedes-Benz Arena will host the Laver Cup from September 20-22, 2024.
