Our champ owns a 2-0 lead in their ATP Head2Head, with both wins coming this season including a straight sets win en route to the Barcelona trophy.

Rafa on playing Norrie:

“Every week he’s making good results, winning against very good players. I know it is going to be a tough one. I need to be ready to play my best. I know he has a style of game that is not easy to play against. I need to play well.”

Norrie on playing Rafa:

“Obviously I’m going to be the underdog going in there, so no pressure on me. I’ll go out and see if I can execute my game and frustrate him. It’s another wonderful experience for me playing him, again, third round of a Slam, especially where he’s been very dominant.”

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

    • Maybe they don’t expect him to go far so they scheduled him for Rafa’s court? Does Chatrier generate a higher return on ticket sales?

He is the ONLY one who will have played his first three matches on Chatrier. Looks fishy to me now that I broke it down. I agree, “Let’s see.”

ND, Medvedev and Rafa, #1, 2, and 3 respectively—two times.

Diego #10 and Berrettini #9 are zero on Chatrier.

Zverev world #6 and Tsitsipas #5 — one time.

      • Rafa usually plays on Lenglen at least once. My only concern is that rain is possible tomorrow. Roger was offered to play at night on Monday and declined. I do not know it it was offered to Rafa. I am fine with Serena playing there. Rafa needs to serve better against Norrie.

      • va4favre, I’ve been checking the weather and it appears that the threat of rain during Rafa’s match had disappeared.

If Rafa is happy with Lenglen, fine with me. Isn’t Chatrier considered the premier court?

Rafa said [or was it Moyá] that he is working on his serve. I hope everything clicks tomorrow.

        RAFA ROCKS
