GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. Rafa has lost his mental toughness he once had over his opponents. Its absoluty mind boggling that he lost this match. I just dont understand it. He was leading 2-0 in sets and then everything change and its not the first time he choked in a match.

Before the loss against djokovic in the ao final 2012 nadal only lost three five setters. After that final he lost 9 five setters which is unbelievable.

He choked in 2012 and 2017 against djokovic and nadal he choked against fognini us open 2015 and now against stefanos. He needs someone who can help him find his mental strength back someone like boris becker

  2. I am so dissapointed in Rafa. I knew after the third set he was going to lose the match. From that moment he lost his mental edge. If i were his coach i would have a deep conversation with him about this. His history is haunting him at the australian open.

My sad conclusion is that rafa will never win in Australia again for me this was his last chance. with a djokovic struggling this was his opportunity.

His best chance to win second australian open title was in 2014 2012 and 2017. He blew his chances and never recover. He also lost his mental edge he has lost it since australian open title 2012 he was always feared when his opponents went with thim to distance.

That mental edge has been taken over by djokovic. What a sad sad story I could scream at him for waisting this opportunity. But he should just skip tournaments he can not win at his age. I am talking about the australian open title, Miami, Sjanghai, Paris and Atp tour finals he is just not good enough anymore to compete at those tournaments and should focuss just on clay.

    • I do not think he should only focus on clay – he is very good on hard courts, and he enjoys them. But he should address his weakness on hard courts, which is now mainly psychological. I think that he has done an excellent job of developing his hard court game over the last three years; he deserves to be rewarded for it. So it’s painful and upsetting when his mentality lets him down. Every bit of that third-set tiebreak was a win for Rafa on an ordinary day. So what was extraordinary about today? What spectre loomed on the horizon for him? Because he was afraid of something, for sure. That wasn’t confident, positive tennis. That was a man who was afraid of losing, and so made it happen. Painful and unnecessary.

  3. It was painful to see how nervous Rafa played the last three sets against Tsitsipas, choking away and clearly playing not to lose. In all fairness, his history at the AO stands firmly in the way of his legacy, and will prevent him from being GOAT. This was sad to watch.

  4. Rafa good luck tomorrow you are the king vamosssssss you can do it all the best love from your fan for ever 💪💪💪🎾🎾🎾😘😘😘

  5. I found Sascha really frustrating today – he was ahead in all 4 sets, and blew 3 of them. I wasn’t impressed with Nole either – he threw a tantrum, smashed his racket, expected one of the ballkids to clear up the mess he’d made, then complained that he was having to wait to serve. Even the commentator said that he should have been told to clear up his own mess.

  6. Oscar sucks man ! They haven’t given the best actor award to the most deserving one Mr. Novak djokovic. This guy is way better than even Meryl streep

  7. zverev is such a mentally weak player. Screwing a break in the second and the final set unbelievable he will never win a grandslam

  8. Another Djokovic win with a so called abdominal tear – haha! We’re yet to hear the result of the MRI scan. Ummh! Not much of a greeting from Zverev at the net and who can blame him. Hope he’s as stiff as hell against Karatsev, The Quiet Assassin.

  9. Well… at least one of my two female picks is still in it. Halep lost to Serena but Osaka will play her next. Waiting to see if Osaka can do it.

      • Karolina Muchova was a different player after the medical time out 😳

When she played Karolina Pliskova in the third round, she was a set up but 5 games down (0 – 5) in set two, but somehow she won 7 games in a row to advance to round 4th, not sure if KP had an injury or not, I was just checking scores.

  10. Best of luck to Rafa in the quarters against Tsitsipas. Our champ has got to tidy up those unforced errors against a much more focused and consistent oponent than Fognini.

    • After players enduring difficult two weeks in quarantine, not surprisingly, this seems to be the slam of abdominal and back injuries, where countless players have been dropping like flies. We heard that Berrettini had to withdraw from his QF match due to an abdominal strain and Dimitrov developed a lower back injury during his QF. It’s all going on!

Rafa, please continue to look after your back. All the way champ!
