Rafael Nadal’s run at Wimbledon ended today as he faced eight-time champion Roger Federer.
The two rivals needed a tiebreak to separate them in the first set. While the third-seeded Rafa dominated the second set, it was the Swiss player who had the upper hand the rest of the way, winning 7-6 (3), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Only a Rafa loss has the ability to send me into a deep depression like I woke up in today.
Anyway, my champ fought till the end, and that’s what we all love about him. In the moment, I was very disappointed. But I appreciate you Rafa for putting yourself out there time and again for our pleasure, no matter the cost to yourself:):)
Stay blessed Rafa, always with you despite what you put me through. Stockholm syndrome:):)
MWAH!!!

Rafael Nadal-you fought so hard despite the ranking, the worst draw among the three of you, and the
personal obstacles you have had to overcome. You played a fantastic tournament-we are proud and
always expect more. Every loss stings, but as you say,”We are not done.” Stay healthy because we are still here. Thank you🙏for a tremendous effort. 👏💪👍🤛🍀🥰

We all wanted Rafa to beat Roger and Djoker to lift another Wimbledon trophy but it was not meant to be, not his day today, so sad😥 However, looking back, approximately two months ago, Rafa said he was considering taking a break not playing the FO and Wimbledon, since then, he won another master 1000 trophy and then his12th FO title and also made the semis at Wimbledon. It hurt so much as he had played so well until today, lost another opportunity to go further for a chance to add #19, but at the same time, I still feel we have so much to be thankful for. Stay healthy, rest well and come back even stronger like you always do Rafa! ❤️
It hurts so much. Rafa was not at his best, but still had enough chances. Bad Backhand and Return killed him today 🙁
Take rest and don’t doubt in your game.
Vamos Rafa <3
