I watched that match with intense and I suspect Rafa has the capacity to raise the standards of the game on clay as the opponent gets tougher, a but like Muhammad Ali used to in boxing thereby allowing the crowed to enjoy the match. It’s a dangerous strategy yet thrilling. With Djokovic out of the tourmaline Monte Carlo is for Rafa to lose.
I really enjoyed this Rafa win against Guido . It was a vety tough match and pushed Rafa to the limit . Rafa must try to get the 1st serve percentage up in the 70’s and concentrate on limiting unforced errors 20 unfirc d errors almost cost Rafa tge first set .The tiebreaker was very decisive and demonstrated Rafa’s superiority over Pella . Vamos Rafa against Fognini . Rafa need to make him move and prevent him from making winners from the baseline .
