Rafa arrives in Australia

After cancelling a planned second exhibition in Abu Dhabi, Rafael Nadal has arrived in Australia and plans to get straight down to business in preparation for his first match at the Brisbane International.

After a period of time off the court with some injuries, it’s nice to be back.
As I said a couple of days ago in Abu Dhabi, for me it’s important to keep doing steps forward, not making a step back.

Rafa Nadal

Rafa will play either Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or Australian Thanasi Kokkinakis in his first match of the new year.

  1. I predict Rafa will come back at top form . Wining the AO is my expectation which of course would surprise the tennis world but not us Rafa crazed fans .

  2. Rafa will have a very short time to acclimatise to the humidity of Brisbane add a long journey to that ! I hope he is fully fit and will do himself justice . Winning is not that important at this stage of the year . All good wishes Rafa. It is wonderful to see him back on court . The buzz is back in tennis
