Rafa has won Monte Carlo Masters ten times including an Open-Era record of eight consecutive titles between 2005-2012. Last year he became the first man in the Open Era to win a single tournament 10 times.

Following his tenth title in Monte Carlo last season, our champ went on to win in Barcelona, Madrid, and Paris.

  1. Rafa,
Best wishes for the clay season. My passport isn’t here yet and I wanted to come to Paris this year. I will be watching on TV. I will watch all your matches. You are looking great. I can’t wait for Wednesday. I am in Michigan so your
About a day ahead if me. 👏👏👏Vamos!❤️

    • I don’t want you to miss Rafa so you may want to double check the time difference between Monaco and your city.

      RAFA ROCKS

  2. Suerte Rafa…estas en tus dominios…k tengas exito en esta temporada…y a por los 11…

  3. Yes, one match at a time.
In Rafa’s first Monte-Carlo match, he will be challenged by 28-year-old Aljaz Bedene. This is their second meeting:

In their first meeting, Bedene lost to Rafa in their 2016 Monte-Carlo match 6-3, 6-3 in the R32.

    In 2018 Bedene
lost to Fognini in QF at Rio
lost to Thiem in the F at Buenos Aires

In 2017 he lost at the FO in R2 to Vesely: 6-3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.

The only thing they have in common is zero titles in 2018 but Rafa is on his way to change that statistic.

This should be an easy win for Rafa.

    RAFA ROCKS

  4. Good luck and I am sure that the best is yet to come! Win more🏆🏆🏆🏆,
    You can do it again…vamos💪💪💪🍀🍀🍀

  5. Who wants to bet Chokovic gets scared and loses to Thiem so he doesn’t have to lose to Rafa in the QFs and lose ground in his head to head skewed advantage which he got by beating Rafa when he was hurt? Wuss… Rogers skipping clay to do the same thing on a grand scale. Wusserer…. I want to see real matches! Who is man enough to battle Rafa?

    • You may know by now that roger, princess r, appears to always be in hiding when it comes to REAL GENUINE COMPETITION, not just against Rafa but other talented top players…..so nothing is new here…..on clay….or any surface where princess r can not be protected by easy draws and extra bratty privileges.
      VAMOS RAFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) Our true GOAT and BRILLIANT PASSIONATE FIGHTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) XOXOXOXOXO

    • Why is everyone’s comments here are getting a thumbs down? It’s got to be a Fedtard doing.
They are invading Rafa fans website. Be gone.

  6. Rafa all the way. He does have a hard draw but he will overcome. Prayers are with him all the way.

  7. Rafa I think you did amazingly at the Davis Cup in Valencia, as well as your team members,

and it was a great warm up for the Monte Carlo coming now.

    All the very best,

    Love and prayers,

    AlaineXXSydneyXXAustraliaXX

  8. Spain’s Davis Cup in over Germany will have given Rafa a big psychological boost. Judging by his performance in that tie, if Rafa remains fit, he should have no problem in Monte Carlo.

  9. The best of luck Rafa – You can do it again 🏆🍀🤗
    VAMOS CHAMP #1! 🎾💪🏼🥇😘

    • Carol, I agree that it is tough. Some of the others like Dimitrov’s look easier, but you never know. I try to only look at the first and second rounds. I was pleased that Uncle Toni said Rafa looked better in Valencia than he thought he would. . I will root for Rafa as always, but will try to be realistic too. Last year’s clay season was almost perfect.

      • Hiya va4favre, were you thinking of 2005 when you wrote “almost perfect clay season?”

2005 is the only year Rafa had a perfect clay-court season, at the age of 19, when he won MC, Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, and the FO. A repeat of 2005 would be wonderful but…..
His 2017 clay season was not perfect compared to 2005 but I think it was absolutely FABULOUS.

In each year of 2006, ’07, ’12, and ’13, he won 2 masters, Barcelona, and the FO. In 2017, ELEVEN tennis player years after 2006, he did the same.

In 2008 and ’11, he won MC, Barcelona and the FO.

In 2009, he won 2 Masters, and Barcelona but lost the FO.

In 2010, he won the 3 Masters plus the FO. This is his best record since 2005.

In 2011 he won MC, Barcelona and the FO.

During three years, 2014-2016, he won a total of 2 Masters, 1 Barcelona, and 1 FO. A slump it was.

In 2017 alone, he won 2 Masters, Barcelona, and the FO. This equals his best clay-court season since his comeback year of 2013, 5 years later.

He’s older now, and had to be tired after 2 Masters and Barcelona in 2017. I wished he had skipped Rome but thank goodness he went on to win the FO.

Clearly Madrid and Rome are where he has suffered his most clay-court loses. I am not sure, but this year he may skip Rome. If he does, it may give him an edge as the season winds down.

Hoping he does a phenomenal job again. I welcome any feedback you may wish to offer. And don’t hesitate to point out any errors I may have made.

        RADA ROCKS

      • va4favre, Apologies for the omissions but Rafa also won 2 more clay-court titles in 2005 which were not included in my list; the Mexican Open and the Sao Paolo [250] tournaments.

Even before he won his first French Open, he was being hailed as the best clay-court player ever.

        RAFA ROCKS

  11. Last year, as we all know, Rafa won his 10th Monte Carlo Masters, his 10th Barcelona Open, and his 10th Coupe de Mousquetaires, plus his 5th Madrid Open. It is a lot but, if he is at his best, he can do it again. Here’s to wishing him a repeat clay season in 2018.

All the best to a formidable adversary. Knock them out Rafa.

RAFA ROCKS ANOTHER RECORD-BREAKING CLAY SEASON

    • Rafa you are the best on and off court (and not only on clay courts). But let’s hope for 11 Monte Carlo +11 Barcelona + 6 Madrid + 11 Roland Garros tournament victories and total 17 Grand Slams at the end of clay court season 2018.
Of course being an inveterate fan, at the end of the day,I just hope you continue to play and win some lose some.

      WAMOS
