Although world No. 1 Rafael Nadal is not from Valladolid, he will have a street named after him in one of the largest cities in the northwest of Spain, reported local media.
The Valladolid City Council voted to rename a Rector Luis Suarez Street as Rafael Nadal Street in honor of the Spanish superstar.
In case you didn’t know, Valladolid is the capital city of the province of Valladolid and of the autonomous community of Castile and Leon. The city has a great communication network, with its own international airport (Villanubla) and excellent train and motorway connections leading to Madrid, the northwest of Spain, France and Portugal.
