PHOTOS: Rafael Nadal watches the solar eclipse

America was thrown into shadow yesterday as the moon passed between the Earth and the sun, causing a total solar eclipse. Rafael Nadal managed to witnessed it during his first practice session in New York.

    Welcome to NY, champ.

Rafa, I hope you have shaken off the blahs and that the eclipse was a good omen for your USO run.

Iam a die hard fan of rafa. Can’t watch him loose close matches and matches he is expected to win..cried a lot wen he lost matches he shud have won..I cudnt take it anymore..so I let out my frustrations..can expect him to win everything either..I Shud expect less from rafa, the only way to njoy Rafa playing and keep myself less emotional wen he losses…guys pls don’t make him a favorite and raise undue expectations..don’t elevate him to mount Everest…we shall expectations only wen he reaches a final!!!!!…my sincere request…lets speculate who is going to win, wen he reaches the final of any tournament rather than make early unscientific and unsound predictions and feel very let down or worse….from a true fan…
