Rafa on facing Dimitrov:

He’s a player that has an unbelievable talent, unbelievable potential. He started the season playing unbelievable.

It’s going to be a very tough match for me. I hope for him, too. I’m going to try to play my best because I know he’s playing with high confidence.

This will be the ninth time that Rafa and Grigor meet. Our champ leads the H2H record 7-1. The lone win for Grigor occurred in their last match at Beijing last October.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

    • I’m sure my blood pressure is off the charts!! I cannot sleep while Rafa is playing so I’m up watching it again! What a grueling match…I want to keep my faith in Rafa, but this could go either way! My God Grigor is not going away! Be careful Maria (England) take deep breath’s…it’s going into the 5th!

  1. WTF is wrong with Rafa. Now he’ll lose the 5th too.
Seems like Raonic match was completely an illusion. We thought Rafa was back but still not the same old Rafa. He would’ve finished this in 3.

  2. ci…..ci….ci….ci…. VAMOS DEAR RAFA!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) 🙂 BEAUTIFUL TENNIS anad leading 2 SETS to 1 ……. YEH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂 VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )

  3. We have to remember that Rafa never has a walk in the park… I’m sure he has set some type of records for the longest grueling matches. He Himself has said that he is a player that wins when not playing his best tennis! I’m a coward and turned it off…will hope to awaken to Rafa holding his arms up in victory! Grigor is ready to break through… Just hope it not today! Vamooos Rafa !

  4. I have all along predicted that Grigor Dimitrov will win the 2017 AO and it is now beginning to unfold. He win certainly defeat our good old Rafa in 4 sets.

It’s sad, but that’s the reality when Rafa refused for so long to add to his coaching crew.
    I told you so!!!

  5. BEAUTIFUL PLAYING SWEETHEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ): ) : ) Breaking aggressively and leading 3:2 2nd set and ready to serve next!!!!! : ) : ) : ) LETS GO RAFA LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ): ) : ) : ) : ) VAMOS!!!!! : )

  6. After a great start, set 2 is gone. Please turn this around already!! Dimitrov is not good enough to beat Fed, Rafa has to do it, beat them both.

  7. THAT RELIABLE GREAT SERVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) He did it!!!: ) it is 5:5 and VAMOS DEAR RAFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) BY THE WAY, it seems D coach uses his glancing at his watch as a non verbal advice for D….. he has been doing it all along…. GO RAFA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : )

  8. Can Toni and Carlos act and tell Rafa to step closer even on the 1st serve return. Grigor is getting to many angles on his 1st serve!

    Come on RAFA! Vamos!

  9. Not sure why not give a warning to D for his 23 seconds between serve, and only give Rafa for his 27 seconds…..if the rule is 20 seconds than umpire must address it equally.

  10. Grigor’s coach is beginning to annoy me. Looking at his watch and flapping his hands when rafa’s serving. Chill man.

  11. Very good first set but why why why is Rafa standing so far back now, when returning. It worked so well standing close, Dimitrov doesn’t get as much time.
