V looked like a liability – much like as I recall w the TIE BREAK w the B brothers,….just did not seem to be putting a serious cooperative effort , How about playing Doubles next w the Indian guy that played Doubles so well w Sanya for the ACES???? The good news dear RAFA is that this was a competitive doubles match for you & naturally, there will be other opportunities. Rafa has a cushy draw in Doha. If he plays like he did in Abu Dhabi, he should cruise to the final against Novak. The light & fast conditions in these desert tournaments are tailor made for our favorite player, providing the extra pace and depth to his ground-strokes that he’s been searching for the last two years. The conditions in Melbourne for the first slam of the year are much heavier & slower, so that will be a different ballgame altogether.
Time to kick Novak at the big tournaments again. Vamos Rafa <3
