The Emirates ATP rankings have been updated, and for now, there is no change in Rafael Nadal’s standing. Our champ is still No. 7 with 4,570 points. That means Rafa could be the No. 7 seed at the French Open, his lowest ever seeding at the clay-court Grand Slam. He could move up a spot in the seedings if Milos Raonic does not play following recent foot surgery.

Tomas Berdych and Kei Nishikori jumped into fourth and fifth respectively as Raonic slipped to sixth. Rome champion Novak Djokovic is well clear atop the rankings, ahead of Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

Top 10 in the current ATP Rankings:

  1. A prophet (known for many accurate predictions) in Nigeria has predicted that Rafael Nadal will not triumph at this year’s French Open, which commences next week in Paris. The prophet, however, stopped short of predicting who will emerge as the winner. He only stressed that a new and unexpected champion will emerge!

The prophet further stated that Rafa Nadal is destined to win Roland Garros next year and at least 2 more majors before calling it a day in Tennis.

To all Rafa fans, I say, let’s rejoice, afterall Rafa will reclaim his title next year.

  2. Afolabi that is some very strong words, Rafa is not done yet he may win RG again this year you don’t know I don’t know”that will be a tall task to beat Rafa’s record at RG. I for one don’t see anyone beating it some records are just not made to be broken.

  3. Dear Rafa Fans (and Rafa): Rafa will be victorious in 2015 – all of you just have faith and believe. God Bless Rafa and all of his fans. Love Marylynn

  4. Rafa, I’ve said this last week n I’m saying it again, just go into Roland Garros thinking “I’ve nothing to lose … “Been there, done that, won ’em all”. Injuries have hurt your game, consequently, you now win some n lose some, you can’t win ’em all, but you’re only turning 29 n God help your opponents when you regain your old form!!! Vamoos Rafa my adopted grandson. God bless n be with you always. Love your Aussie Nana. xxx. 🌻🍄🌼

    • Hi ,I totally agree with you ,he has nothing to prove,,,,,but wouldn’t be absolutely wonderfully amazing to see him come back and win it again this year ,,,,I’m keeping everything crossed for him ,

  5. Any loss sweetens the next victory. No one plays with more passion. However long it takes
for every facet to click into gear, it will happen. Watch!

    • Carol, please let’s not make a joke of the Djoker just yet.
He holds the ace to the FO at the moment.

Let us remember that what goes around comes around.

      Vamos Rafa!!!!

      • It’s much better to make a joke than to make some kind of bad comments like Novak’s fans do. But you are right, let’s go to wait

  6. If you have been watching, Rafa has not been playing all that badly but wow! Stan W. was amazing! We have Milos R. and Kei N. in the top ten and now Berdych and Ferrer. There are an awful lot of very good players right now and look at the youngsters coming along. It’s probably the same as it was when Rafa first started out. Years go by! We will be there for you Rafa! Vamos!

  7. Just go out there and win, wear your pirate pants and frighten them all out of their complacency about you , I for one have the greatest confidence in your chances .No one can touch you in Roland GARROS and they should give you the No. one ranking for that event ,You brought many spectators to the event, so very profitable for them

  8. A few days ago, Rafa said”family’s first”! Everybody of his fans will accept that, but if Rafa doesn’t take a new person, a new coach, a new one who can give him new confidence, that will be the end of his carrier! We fans oll love Rafa, Tennis is nothing for as without Rafa, but so we can only more cry!!! It’s not possible that with 29 years he can no more play tennis! There must be a reason and i’m sure it’s a mentaly question! Come on Rafa!!

  9. Rafa will always be my favorite player no matter where he is in the rankings, which mainly is due to his recent injuries and operation,he needs time to recover,I’m confident he will improve, hes not old yet and he looks supremely the man out there, well built, has good taste in outfits always looks smart, moves well,he’s strong and charasmatic.
He has to improve with all those strong points.
I’ve followed tennis since the 70’s and Rafa is an Icon to me,he always gets the loudest cheer when he come out.
MensTennis will be very dull without Rafa.
The crowd love him, come on Rafa, you can do it,you have the pedigree of a fine race horse,(or Bull!)

  10. I KNOW I CAN PLAY WELL IN PARIS, I STILL HAVE A SHOT AT WINNING, AND I AM CONFIDENT I CAN DO IT, I HAVE NEVER BEEN RANKED SO LOW BEFORE THE FO SO IT WILL BE SOMETHING NEW FOR ME AND I WILL POSSIBLY FACE TOUGH OPPONENTS EARLIER, I DON’T CARE ABOUT THAT………IF I DON’T WIN IN PARIS WELL I WILL SURVIVE SERIOUSLY LIFE GOES ON AND WILL CONTINUE …….IT’S NORMAL THAT I COULD LOSE, LOSING IS PART OF LIFE, I CAN BE THERE, PLAY BAD AND LOSE EARLY, BUT I AM GOING TO FIGHT TO HAVE A GOOD TOURNAMENT………ENDS RAFA QUOTES……ALL RAFA FANS WANT YOU TO GO OUT THERE AND WIN EVEN MORE SO THEN EVER…GO CHAMP ….MAY YOUR BRILLIANCE AND FIGHTING SPIRIT REIGN ONCE AGAIN….

  11. Rafael has time before Roland Garros and he is doing a lot of good things. . Roland Garroa is his Kingdom and I feel that his confidence will fully return . Tennis is so dull without him . He brings the special buzz and charisma to every event .

    • Elizabeth, Roland Garros is no longer Rafa’s kingdom. The handwriting is on the wall for all (discerning fans) to see. A new champion is about to be born and it’s not Novak, Roger or even Andy.

But this does not take anything away from Rafa who will go down in History as the King of Clay. However, in the unforseeable future, maybe in the next 15 – 20 years, someone (yet to be born now) will also break Rafa’s Roland Garros record.

      As Rafa says, ”Life continues”

  12. I feel gutted for Rafa at the moment ,,,,his game is still there ,,it’s all in his mind ( that’s what I think ) whats happened???? I just think that everyone has watched Novaks winning way over Rafa ,,,,and now that’s the way to play him,,,,so yes maybe Rafa has to change a few things in his game,,,,but ,,,,,I love Rafa and always will ,,,,but it breaks my heart to see these players beating him ,,,,,I hope and pray he comes good back on his favourite court in the world ,,,,,Paris,,,,and he holds that trophy once again ,

  13. You’ll win Rafa! You are to good! And we all are with you ! You are our hero and 7 or diff spot you have the ability to knock them all off
