Rafael Nadal fell to No. 3 in the ATP rankings. The 14-time Grand Slam champion’s second round loss at the Shanghai Rolex Masters dropped him one spot. He trails No. 1 Novak Djokovic and new No. 2 Roger Federer.
The only other change in the top 10 this week is Marin Cilic’s rose to No. 8 from No. 9 supplanting Milos Raonic. Novak Djokovic remained No. 1.
Our champ was No. 1 earlier this season, but he was overtaken in the rankings by Djokovic on July 7, after the Wimbledon.
