In 2010, Rafa became the only male player in history to win 3 slams on 3 different surfaces in the same calendar year, a record he still holds to this day. Equally impressive was his 2008 trifecta on the French Open clay, Wimbledon grass, and Olympic hard-courts in Beijing. Arguably the two GREATEST calendar year performances in the history of men’s tennis. And yet, rarely – if ever – is any of this mentioned by tennis announcers & commentators. I guess they’re too busy GUSHING over Federer to notice Rafa’s superior accomplishments. Rafa gets no respect from the tennis media. Certainly not the respect he deserves. VAMOS!!!
