The 27-year-old will start his bid for the record ninth title in the Catalan capital on Wednesday, facing the winner of the match between Albert Ramos and Nikolay Davydenko. Nadal’s big plans in Barcelona have not changed. On Monday he will attend the press conference before he gets ready for a photo opportunity with Ferrer at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
