Rafael Nadal’s 2014 Schedule

Where does Rafael Nadal play in 2014?

That’s the question on everyone’s mind these days, as fans want to make plans to see the World No.1 live. Our advice to you is to wait until Rafa’s team has confirmed his participation in a tournament before making non-refundable travel plans.

This is Rafa’s confirmed schedule (i.e., his team has indicated that he will participate) up until the US Open. The tournaments in blue are Rafa’s regularly planned stops, and he is expected to play there as usual.  However, we have not received a final ‘yes’ from the team. We will update them as we do.

  2. I agree with Steve B. Would not like to see anymore injury. Health first. Tennis is boring without Rafa. Was not the same the months he did not play. Good health Rafa.

  3. The points do get confusing.
Yes, he got the 500 in Rio, but didn’t he lose the 500 from not playing in Acapulco, that he was supposed to defend?
And IW VS MIA should be very thought out because Miami starts right after Indian wells. He never has won Mia, so, I too hope he chooses that instead of IW, but doubt it will happen.
I’ll be supposed if he makes Halle too, as Wimby is too soon after Roland Garros, and health has to be his main priority.

I too would live to see him play every match, but not at the expense where he gets hurt and play anymore.
Tennis is just boring without Rafa playing, ratings go down, and it would be in the best interest of the sport if they had more time between tourneys, because if they don’t, they lose the one guy who is attracting everyone to it.
And that’s not to say Djokovic, Murray, DelPotro, and even Warwrinka aren’t good, they just aren’t exciting to watch.
Djokovic gets old very quick when he goes and acts like superman after he wins a match, or tries to act funny when he’s really not.

  4. I remember Rafa saying to either Cincy or Montreal crowd in the trophy ceremony that he’ll see them in 2 years…anyways I hope he skips IW and go to Miami instead. He wants to have a Miami title, and the 1000 pts he could gain there could offset his dropped IW points. Plus, more rest for him…Have a healthy, happy tour Rafa! Wish to see the most of you this year! Vamos!

  5. but I reckon that he has a chance to gain 500 points @ Rio Open as it’s the 1st time that this tourney is going to be held. So if he wins doesn’t he get 500 points….. new?????

  6. ESTOS SON LOS VIRTUALES ACCIDENTES A LOS CUALES ESTAN EXPUESTOS DE CONTINUO, LOS DEPORTISTAS, EL QUE NO HAYA GANADO, NO QUIERE DECIR QUE PERDIO, EL SIGUE SIENDO LO MEJOR, COMO DEPORTISTA, HONESTIDAD, CABALLEROCIDAD Y PORQUE NO DECIRLO, EL ES MUY SIMPATICO.

  7. thanks still the world no.1 vamos rafa. . . . . im a little bit relieved,after watching the heartaching final match yesterday. . . . . vamos rafa. . . . .excited to watch you again in your next tournament. . . . .

  10. I know that staying on top is a tough job for Rafa as Djokovic is very near to him in terms of points. But I sincerely believe Rafa would be on his top of his game and take all that matters to be on the TOP!!!
