The ATP Rankings are out, and for now, there is no change in Rafael Nadal’s standing.

In seven days’ time, the battle for year-end No. 1 will hit prime time. Novak Djokovic will attempt to retain his Beijing crown at the China Open. Rafael Nadal, without any Emirates ATP Rankings points to defend, will be the No. 2 seed at the ATP World Tour 500 hard-court tournament.

If Djokovic is to extend his stay at No. 1, he must win the Beijing title for a fourth time in order to retain 500 Emirates ATP Rankings points. Should Nadal reach the final, he will once again reach the summit of men’s professional tennis.

Here’s a round-by-round breakdown for the Beijing tournament, starting on 30 September:

Djokovic 11,120 11,120 10,920 10,800 10.710 10,665 10,620
Nadal 10,860 11,360 11,160 11.040 11,010 11,010 11,010
