Federer, Verdasco, Kohlschreiber, Isner, Nishikori, Robredo, and Querrey are in Rafa’s quarter. Gasquet, Tursunov, Lopez, Raonic, Janovicz, Tipsarevic, Gulbis, and Ferrer are in his half.

If the men play to seed the quarter-final line up will be: Novak Djokovic v Juan Martin del Potro, Andy Murray v Tomas Berdych, David Ferrer v Richard Gasquet, Rafael Nadal v Roger Federer.

Main draw play begins on Monday, 26 August in New York.

  1. Yey!! I hope Rafa keeps hanging in there with all his opponents. His last 2 tournament wins have been on hard court and they have been a knock-out, so I believe Rafa can prove the naysayers wrong when he wins the US OPEN this year!! I am a huge tennis fan, and whoever wins this year, I will be satisfied, but (secretly) hoping for RAFA win!! Go teams go!!

  2. yes, rafa can make it til he is the champion, the lord will bless the humble person like him, God bless u rafa!!!!!

  3. It doesn’t matter what the draw is in Flushing Meadows. We know that Rafa is going to give every game, every set, every match 150% effort, Can’t wait!!!
