The 23-year-old Argentinian comes into the championships having only won one match on grass this season, a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Pedro Martinez in the first round of the Cinch Championship at Queen’s, before he crashed out to Ryan Peniston.
Rafa is a two-time champion at the tournament, having won the title in 2008 and 2010, while finishing as the runner-up in 2006, 2007 and 2011.
Our champ will play in the English tournament for the first time since 2019, when he lost in the semifinals to Roger Federer. The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in the 2020 edition of the tournament being cancelled, and Rafa withdrew from the tournament in 2021 due to his physical condition.

A tennis journalist named Danny Miche is reporting that Rafa will play exhibition matches in Argentina, Mexico and Colombia which are confirmed for Nov. Ecuador and Chile could be added. There is speculation that his opponent will be Delpo but if he isn’t fit then Diego could step in.
Many outlets have picked up the story but wondering if this is really legit?
The next couple of weeks are booked to watch Wimbledon Championship, the third grand slam of 2022.

Have they only released pieces of the draw? I’ve seen that Rafa’s early matches are favorable for Rafa and he could see FAA in the quarters. Felix is no joke on grass but I’m confident that the exhibition is not a predictor of what would happen in a best of five.
Djokovic could see Carlos in the quarters. I haven’t seen anything on Berrentini ‘s draw. He is outside the top 10 but could make at least the semi’s.
