Rafa on playing Norrie:

“His level of tennis is huge. He improved a lot at the beginning of last year, and this year he continues. It’s going to be a big challenge, but we are in the final of a 500 here in Acapulco, so cant expect an easy opponent. I’m excited about being in the final.”

After losing all four of his matches in January, Norrie is 10-1 this month and coming off the third ATP Tour title ofhis career at Delray Beach. Norrie is 4-20 against Top-10 opponents.

Rafa is 24-2 at Acapulco with 9 straight wins (18-0 in sets), 14-2 record on hard (29-4 in sets) and 10-0 record on clay (20-0 in sets). He is youngest and oldest champion in event’s 29-year history (18 in 2005, 33 in 2020).

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. Congratulations to Rafa!🎉🎉🎉 So thrilled to watch you lift and kiss another 🏆👏😊
But most importantly, so thankful you are healthy and still play at such a high level at 35, amazing. 🙏
All the best the rest of the season, stay healthy and injury free.❤️

    • Good Victory. Never in doubt. Played just as well as was needed. Should’ve closed it out 6-2 in the 2nd but came back nicely to wrap it up 6-4. Congrats Rafa!

Now onto IW/Miami b4 the clay fest 🙂

  2. I have no doubts that Rafa will win this final. The way he is playing – so determined with such a fighting spirit – brings joy to so many. We need to smile and be happy and Rafa will do that for us, whatever the result. Vamos!!!

  3. Give him hell in the final Rafa!

Win or lose, you’ve brought so much joy to us champ. Anytime things get a bit choppy, I simply remember you winning the AO after being given a 4% chance of making it at some point.

Get it done champ!! I’ll be waking up at 4am to watch you, so don’t disappoint!

  4. Rafa you are such an inspiration to all. At this moment in time we really need to have something to smile and be happy about..you certainly did this for us last night against Daniil. Bless you & keep you healthy. Vamos my Champion
