  9. Rafa looks flat. It’s a fast court, low bouncing balls and Rafa is being rushed into making errors. Zverev, on the other hand, is serving really well. Let’s hope Rafa works his way into the match.

  19. I don’t know exactly what it is but I’m feeling a weird energy from this tournament… Perhaps its Fed’s loss to Thiem and now Miedvedev’s loss to Tsitsipas…both of which I was surprised as it just shows… anything can happen.

    I am very happy Rafa is playing today as he has said many times that he needs to be 100% to play…and we have not heard anything contrary to that…. (as I breathe a sigh of relief)

    Good luck Rafa…. You know Sascha’s game and we know yours….

    Stay focused , find your rhythm, keep the points short, and take it to him…

    • Yes, it’s been a weird start. You never know what to expect from Dominic, and even less so from Sascha – why did he have to choose today to be at his best?! – but Daniil’s played so well lately that I really didn’t expect him to lose to Stef.

      • I agree Set… and today…. Rafa’s game was completely off… It was a tough day for him and for us… Hard to tell what it was that was throwing him off… lack of practice, maybe fear of injuring himself again… who knows…
        Hioefully he can put this behind him as he has Wednesday to redeem himself…

This is an unprecedented era for tennis, and the next gen can learn from the top three-there is a huge gap between their accomplishments and those of the remaining challengers. While some fans are entertained by crude language and behaviour, the stats tell the real story. The talent, passion, and endurance of Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic are not consistently challenged by the rest of the field. Sparse attendance is evident when the top three are not
    participating. Tiresome antics of some challengers-flipping the bird while on a televised match, stomping on racquets, throwing chairs, swearing, etc. Do not expect us to travel and pay for this.
    Ask the big three about physical endurance and mental acuity. Some of the challengers are aging out, are injured, or lack mental toughness.

TSITSIPAS ACTUALLY HAD A SENSE HIS ACE WAS IN…HE WALKED 1/2 WAY BUT DID NOT FOLLOW HIS GUT….
