Wow! That was a cool, calm victory! Rafa was sound in every department! A fantastic no-look lob! He’s such a gentleman, so thoughtful. He didn’t do any celebratory gestures during the match because he knew he was overpowering Donaldson and didn’t want to embarrass him.
I’m glad Rafa had a short match, because he needs all the energy he can get to play the very tricky Fognini. Best of luck Rafa!

Rafa defeated Donaldson 6-2, 6-1. Fognini next. I always feel wary of Fognini. When he is playing well he is very dangerous. He is also very volatile and will try to distract Rafa.
Luckily Rafa’s match against Donaldson was over fairly quickly as he needs to be fresh for to-morrow’s match against the Italian.
