  1. Hi Susie , yes it’s weird I don’t know why it’s not there. I noticed Tsonga’s doubles has been cancelled ,I wondered if that’s was because he’s out of the singles or maybe his baby is due around now. Shock about Andy and now Konta’s just gone out. Is it me or does Rafa Hair still look very thin.

  4. Hi Maria – I’ve looked but like you I can’t seem to find any info on rafa’s doubles. I’m concerned that pella has broken rafa so early on but am hoping rafa breaks back!

  5. Does anyone know when Rafa plays his next doubles match as both Novak and Kyrgios are playing their singles match after Rafa tonight and I can see their doubles match down for tomorrow ,but I can’t find Rafas’s and Tomic’s anywhere.

  7. You’ve got to love what Roger said of the draw. “Most of the guys you won’t even see because they will eliminate each other…. It’s all fine [after hearing the players’ names]. It doesn’t matter. I know it matters for [the media press]. I came to Indian Wells to play those guys.”

He still “can’t believe he won the AO.” I truly believe that Roger thought Rafa would win. So glad they are good buddies. Now it’s Rafa’s turn.

    RAFA ROCKS

  8. Hi Margo, Andy has always said he proud to represent Scotland and the UK , any tennis player whether they are English , Scottish, Welsh or Irish (NI) represent the United Kingdom. Andy has a dry Sence of humour and likes to have a joke and stir the pot with the whole Scottish/ English thing . Apparently when he was asked was his daughter Scottish or English he replied she’s British .

  9. Hi Mar go , Andy is a proud Scott and rightfully so ,and he does like to have a joke with the Scottish / UK thing. Any player whether they come from England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland play for United Kingdom, thank God as without Murray we would be doomed Lol😨

    • I think what his mom and he are doing, to spread the sport of tennis throughout the UK, is great.

Spain is another country that has seen an increase in public tennis courts and different tennis-teaching venues.

Rafa’s academy has already hosted tournaments for Futures, and will host a WTA tournament with Toni as director. I think Rafa’s academy is going to churn out some great tennis players (for those who can afford it). I hope they have a scholarship program for some deserving tennis prodigies.

      RAFA ROCKS

  10. Hi Elizabeth , I know the Andy Murray thing is ridiculous , I’m proud of Andy ( or should I say Sir Andy Murray) wether he wins or loses , he has done so much for British tennis, and why Scotland is still part of the UK (for now) I feel privileged that we can still claim him as ours. Good luck today Rafa and remember there’s no plane flying to the Balearic islands with your name on it until after March 19th.

  11. Best of luck Rafa. Your supporters will always be there.

Interesting to read that Andy is ” a Scot” today on ATP !!! British when he wins and a Scot when he loses. LOL

    • LOL Andy, himself, said that with a twinkle in his eye. He is a Scott but has always played for Great Britain. I have no idea about the dynamics behind that.

He also moved to, and lived in Spain for a while when he was younger, in order to improve his tennis.

      RAFA ROCKS

  12. I think there is a mistake on the time for Rafa’s match. It should be about 3:30 pm EDT not 5:30 EST. Unfortunately, this will be in the height of very hot temperatures, 97 F. It will not be humid, however, so maybe it will not affect Rafa too much. Daylight savings time started today in the US. Will be rooting for Rafa and hope he had recovered from his illness. Should be an incredible day of tennis!

      • I see that the time had changed, but you still show it as EST instead of EDT. If you wish to make it simpler, you can just use ET. As I mentioned, daylight savings time starts today in most parts of the US.

      • Thanks for that catch, va4favre. Keep the eagle eyes working.

I had the incorrect day, Monday, instead of today. Not a peep from anyone about that. I think people use their own sources for game times. I do.

Your comment about the heat is what caught my attention. I thought he was going to play later in the day (from what I saw on the Internet). He has been there for what, a week? More than that? He mentioned being “sick.” I hope to heck it wasn’t the heat. Have you come across what the “sickness,” was?

        RAFA ROCKS

  13. Rafa is so astute going one match at a time.

ALL the best Rafa, for your next match.

    Love and ,

  14. Can’t believe Murray and Tsonga were beaten today, makes for an even more lopsided draw! Let’s hope there is no upset for Rafa

    • Tsonga was beaten by Fognini, who beat Rafa at Rio, Barcelona, and the US Open, in 2015.

      RAFA ROCKS

    • I was even thinking that Andy had such a favorable draw in comparison to the other side, that they might as well give him the trophy now.
it just goes to show that too much speculation does not really help .
From now on I will, like Rafa, take each match as it comes.

      • I did not see the match, but was surprised to read that Andy had lost. It does show yet again that anything can happen. I try not to pay too much attention to the draws for that reason. I read that the fans were pro-Vasek, but I hope that they were not rude to Andy. I think we may get more surprises today, but I hope Rafa is not one of them!

  15. CRIKEY! First shock of the tournament Andy Murray is OUT. Just goes to show it doesn’t really matter which side of the draw your on , and it’s not usually an opponent or top seed that causes the upset. As Rafa has said you take one match at a time . Wow it’s all to play for now.

  16. Good luck tonight Rafa , have your wits about you as it’s these type of players that give you trouble . Thank God an evening match for a change .
