  1. Rafa, you gave it your all like you usually do. Have been a fan for so many years I can’t remember. I’ve seen your highs and lows. Winning @ No.1 then dropping down to 8. I believe it is in your spirit to never accept defeat. Love your enthusiasm from the crowds wherever you are playing. Love your comment” It was difficult match”. YOU NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!Novak knows your game so well as you his. he was just better today. This experience will show you your weakness, strengths, serving conditions, ball placements and other coaching tips from Uncle Tony. Not only do I believe in you but all your fans do as well. Am looking forward to the AO knowing you’ll do well. Good luck for health, love and good will in 2016. Your loyal fan Buffy from Arkansas USA.,

  2. Well, watched the match and read all the comments and waited until the dust settled. My view is that Rafa played with great confidence, determination and skill too but he played against the current world number 1, Rafa has recently beaten the world number 2 and number 4 only a few weeks ago AND got to his 99th final, what does that say about his progress!! I very much appreciated his ‘retaliation’ to the spectator who thinks he knows best (along with some of these so called advisors who urge him to get a new coach), and loved his response too which showed his fighting spirit still after the defeat. What class!

I hope that Rafa or his team read this and know that I have belief in what he is doing to improve his game and will always be on his side and I am not delusional at all but am a realist who has been a fan for the past 11 years or so. Cannot wait for the AO to begin. Vamos Rafa and Toni

  3. a very funny incident to be noted in this match
After the match when rafa was sitting on his seat and when camera turned to him to show him on big screen majority of crowd in stadium cheered rafa loudly and shown a big love for him and rafa in return waved to crowd
immediately after that when camera turned towards novak, to show him on big screen there was silence from crowd

rafa is so lovable and great to watch tennis player

  4. as i was saying in 2015 there is need for rafa to do some adjustment with strings for 2016
and rafa has already done this year but still i feel that rafa need to do a little more adjustment since he needs to put the balls 1 to 3 feet beyond service box area even when playing long away from baseline . since his core game is defence, and if he can do that then rafa will definitely get a confidence to play aggressive tennis in between when needed
also rafa please be a little quick on balls and play novak more on his forehand side

novak is going through good phase so u need to praise him but that doesn’t mean u give up before u play that opponent
rafa not given up a little till the end even when nole was playing so good
it was just rafa can’t get a good start in both sets and that make opponent to dictate from early

can’t wait to see AO 16

  5. OMG! You guys don’t want to hear the truth right?
Novak is not that good for crying out loud. Even Berdych could pull him to tie break and steal a game from him.

But the point is Novak has studied Rafa’s game so many times that he found a way to counter topspin balls. He loves them that’s all.

A 34-year old Federer or a 31-year old Wawrinka can defeat Djokovic on a right day. Believe it!

So sad that Rafans keep praising Novak and don’t want to face the truth that Rafa can’t defeat him anymore.

  6. I beleive it was best thing happen to rafa that he played this match and got defeated in such manner
And got 1 st time in carrer got a comment from crowd which angered him
Rafa raises his level in grandslams
    Cant waitc ao
Yes novak was unbeatable today even if rafa have 10 coaches
But he will be definitely get beaten by rafa in grandslams matches certainly
    With just little adjustmet
It can be seen on rafa face and his eyes

  7. Dear Rafa we are very proud of you….on the court and of the court… are an example for many…..luv u

  8. RAFA FANS: We just watched the match online in its entirety. You know, Rafa did not play bad at all. Novak was in such a zone and he was seeing the tennis ball like a bowling ball. He could not miss during this match. But contrary to all the comments about Rafa never winning against Novak again—I don’t believe. In fact, I know he will win against Novak again. Maybe more than just once. Rafa has his fighting spirit back. Believe me I know, I have watched him and have been a fan of his since 2005 and BELIEVE ME he has his fighting spirit and confidence back. He lost that match tonight, but believe me he took many great tidbits of knowledge from it. I finally believe after watching this match, that Rafa feels he can beat Novak. I really mean this folks. I feel it!!! And what a good feeling it is. I don’t care what any of you say, Rafa can and will defeat Novak and not just one more time, it will be more than a one time thing. RAFA DID NOT PLAY BADLY DURING THIS MATCH, but as I said Novak was really in a zone. I have alot of hope and confidence in Rafa. God bless you and please remain healthy Rafa. Love, Marylynn

    • Well said Marylynn!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) VAMOS DEAR RAFA !!!!!!!!!!!!: ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : )

  9. I watched a little bit of the match on youtube and it was painful. so embarrassing. How could Rafa even smile? He played like crap, like somebody that just started learning tennis. my god what has happened to him.

  10. Yes it is hard to play at thia level for novak every time but that doesnt mean he cant produce that level every time
But if rafa and novak will play ao 16 final
Rafa juat cant say that he played at high level bit rafa himself have to raise his level to that point
Rafa just watch the pattern u played in 2 nd set 5 -1 on ur serve 1st point
U need to change direction every single at good angles
    Let novak run some bit
Serves really need to work for rafa in such Matches

  11. Vamos Rafa! What an amazing person you are. Our Champ I’m sure is feeling the effects of defeat however he appreciates the crowd and his fans! Good luck for the season!

  13. Rafa besides to be a great Champion has the best sense of humor after to lose a bad match, others players should learn more from them when they lose enstead to act like a clown….well said Rafa!

  14. EVERYTHING you do, Rafa, is absolutely the best!!! We love and support you, win or lose, because you’re a great person, unique in every way, respecting ALL your opponents and never failing to do your best. I am sure you will find a way to beat Novak. VAMOS, RAFA!!!! NUESTRO CAMPEON NUMERO UNO!!!!

  15. Win or lose ,Rafa is still the draw of the tournament ,,,,he’s the one who sells the tickets ,,,,Novak might win the tennis matches at the moment ,,,,but who wins the popularity contest ? Rafa every time ,,,and Novak would love to be as popular as Rafa is all over the world,,,,,,,but it ain’t ever going to happen ,,,,,

      • Yes and if you are a jerk and a great tennis player I will never cheer you on and feel joy and the thrill of your skill because not being a jerk is the minimum for my support. Personal choice.

    • Georgina Johnson :…I agree with you completely ! !..Besides being a great tennis champ, He is a great person, ,Novak will never be anywhere near the person that Rafa is ! !

  16. Rafa, win or lose today, we love you very much!!!! Season 2015 hasn’t passed yet so quickly of course, but we know you do your best to play harder, better and classy! Rafa, first of all, please, don’t let today’s loss get you down emotionally and psycologically. No matter what, Rafa, please believe in yourself because you are champion and we, your fans, and your family and your team, and many many many others believe in you!!! Today’s loss doesn’t say anything! You are strong, Rafa! You are true champion, Rafa! You are number one, Rafa! You are a great tennis player, who fights till the end and win!!!!!! Love you,Rafa!!!!! All your fans love you!!! Kazakhstan loves you!!!! Vamos!!!!!

  17. What we really should be asking Nadal now is when is he going to settle down with Maria Perello, marry, have kids and just enjoy life. Life is more than tennis afterall.

He is the only one out of the top 4 (?) who is still unmarried.

Please dear champion Rafa, marry off Maria and go on to enjoy a blissful life ever after.

We cant stand the humiliation of Djokovic’s continuous destruction of your legend.

    • Como vc é otario … Nadal tem que continuar treinando que logo fara vc chorar novamente quanto seu jogador perde.

    • With all due respect, I don’t think Rafa needs your advise on how to live a blissful, satisfying life. If Rafa can put himself out there and try to against any opponent win or lose, then I can more than endure cheering him on as long as he picks up a tennis racket.
He is more than capable of charting his own life course and if it causes you too much distress bow out gracefully from observing his matches.
For me I am honoured to cheer him on always. Every match he has my unconditional support, admiration and often awe of his skill and of his character.
Vamos Rafa! There is No One like you Ever.

  18. I actually fell for that!!! LOL
But seriously, a new coach is what you need Rafa. I know that you ‘ve worked so hard to try to find a way against Novak but that is not enough. You may go on the wrong direction and a new professional could help you fix that.

  19. • Zindy, you almost gave me a heart attack there!
Please, let’s always say the truth at all times even if it will hurt our loved ones.

Goodness me, Rafa to win Novak in 5 sets. What are we going to hear next,: Sloane Stephens to defeat Djokovic in 5 sets?!
