Rafael Nadal slips to 10th in world rankings

Rafael Nadal has slipped to tenth in the ATP World Rankings – his lowest position in ten years – following his quarter-final exit at French Open. Our champ was ranked seventh ahead of French Open, where his defence of the men’s singles title was ended by World No. 1 Novak Djokovic in the last eight.

    • Yes, but what Rafa really needs is a new coach. Uncle Toni’s time is OUT. Get Rafa a World known coach like Novak did or even Federrer. That’s why they are playing better!

  1. VAMOSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!! RAFA RAFA RAFA RAFA RAFA … LE N° 1 RAFAEL NADALLLLLLL !!! 🙂

  2. Dear Rafa, the best of EVERYTHING during the grasscourt season. To begin with — Stuttgart!! I know that you will do well. Keep your optimisim and never stop believing in yourself. God Bless you, Marylynn

  3. Rafa, learn to be an optimist again. You have the natural ability. Change the mindset to one of supreme confidence!

  4. Must say Stan played sublime tennis – what timing, aggression, risk and precision!!!!!

    Congratulations! You deserved it.

Hope Rafa gets there soon. Really wish it. If he can improve his timing everything will be so much easier and less stressful to his body.

Come on champ, buck up! VAMOS!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Yeah we believe in Rafa but we also acknowledge that we have seen him play badly for 12 months now. I hope to see a confident Nadal for the first time in a year. Ever since he got blown of the court in Halle last year, he’s disappeared.

  6. Havent read any congratulation message from Rafa to Stan. Hope he has.

Anyway, Rafa all the best for the grass court season!!!! VAMOS

  7. Rafa will claw back. He will still be taking home trophies. He may not be getting back to being #1 but for sure he will still be a strong contender. Just like a bull!

  8. No place to go but up! Will be so exciting to watch Rafa rise again and reach for the stars.

I also want to congratulate Stan for winning the title today although I didn’t watch
the match. I also agree with Debbie above regarding how truly difficult it is to win
at the FO just once and Rafa achieved that 9X.

Best wishes during the grass court season. Be happy, be well and good luck in the singles
    and doubles at Stuttgart!

  9. 9 wins in RG has earned you your Crown Rafa. You’ll climb that ladder fast Champ. We all have our ups n downs in life … n you are human!! Congratulations to Stan W. He played a terrific game, but you’ll be holding that Cup once again in 2016. Vamos Rafa in Stuttgart. Love your Aussie Granny.

  13. This RG certainly showed how difficult it is to win one GS, let alone 9. Rafa is healthy, here’s to a good rest of the season, starting with grass. Few points to defend, up from here!

  14. Our Champ will climb the rankings again as he did in 2013. Still our number 1. Vamos Rafa!
