Rafael Nadal through to Buenos Aires final [PHOTOS]

Rafael Nadal is through to his first final of 2015 at the Argentina Open in Buenos Aires after he defeated Carlos Berlocq 7-6(7), 6-2 in an hour and 52 minutes.

“Evidently, when you recover five points (in a row) as well as playing well you have to have some luck, you can’t do it without luck. Carlos was playing bravely and serving well. In the end I managed to be more dynamic and aggressive and place my shots well. … I’m happy for Juan (to reach the final) after he’d been having injury niggles and as a good friend I hope it goes well for him… and also for myself it’s a thrill to be in my first Buenos Aires final and my first of the year,” said Nadal to reporters. (via Reuters)

On Sunday Rafa will face his good friend Juan Monaco. The pair last met in Madrid 9 months ago when Rafa claimed the victory in R2 and went on to win the title.

Our champion is one clay-court title away from equaling Guillermo Vilas’ all-time record of 46 crowns on the surface. VAMOS RAFA!
