Rafael Nadal has been nominated for the United States Sports Academy’s Athlete of the Month award for the month of June.
Professional tennis player Rafael Nadal won the men’s French Open in Paris, France, by defeating Novak Djokovic 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 and 6-4 on June 8th. The victory for Nadal was his record ninth French Open title and was his 14th Grand Slam title. He holds a 66-1 record at the French Open all-time.

I’m so happy to vote for Rafa he is such a great tennis player, he’s well discipline on and off court , humble and a great role model for the younger generation I am a mother of two young men and I always say to them Rafa is my other son whom I never met but I’l be meeting him in August at Roger’s Center My son bought me the whole tournament tickets only to get the opportunity to meet Rafa personally I hope my dream come true!
Your best chance of meeting Rafa, or at least seeing him up close, is to attend his practice sessions on Monday & Tuesday, or his pre-match warmups that take place an hour or two before his Wednesday-Sunday matches. Make sure you get there very early so you’re in the front row. Tournaments usually have a board located near the entrance to the grounds listing when & where the players are practicing. Bring something for him to autograph, like his book ‘RAFA’, or a large yellow tennis ball. And don’t forget to bring a camera.
If you can somehow find out where(which restaurant) & when(what time of day) he likes to have dinner, that would also be a great opportunity to meet him. ‘GOOGLE’ might be very helpful in that regard. Rafa is usually very accommodating to his fans, even outside the tournament grounds.
