Rafael Nadal defeated Alexandr Dolgopolov in the second round of the Shanghai Rolex Masters 1000, 6-3, 6-2.
The first set was competitive and even, with Rafa getting a break late in the set to get a lead at 5-3. He served for the set and took it at 6-3. The second set went Rafa’s way, with a break in the first game and a second break soon thereafter for a 4-0 lead. Rafa took a set at 6-2.
Rafa’s next opponent in R3 is Carlos Berlocq, who defeated John Isner earlier in the day.
