Roland Garros R3: Rafael Nadal Vs. Fabio Fognini

Rafael Nadal is set to play Italy’s Fabio Fognini in round 3 of the French Open a day after his round 1 victory over Martin Klizan. Originally scheduled to have a rest day in between two matches, Rafa’s R2 match was rescheduled due to heavy rains and inclement weather. The move didn’t please the defending champion, who stated that his opponents were scheduled earlier, ahead of the heavy rain that had been forecast and anticipated. Rafa’s R3 match comes just 24 hours after his R2 match.

Rafa and Fognini have played just once before, earlier this month at the Internazionali BNL D’Italia (Rome ATP Masters 1000). Rafa defeated Fognini in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3 to move to the third round, eventually capturing the series and winning his seventh title there.

VAM8S Rafa!

  1. I fully agree and endorse the views of Mr Clarcey Brown. Well said sir! there are, it looks like, so many people waiting for rafa to fail. But sorry Guys ! You will be disappointed Rafa is going to win this and hand down

    vamos rafa!!

  2. I am really irritated that there is much talk going on about Rafa because he lost 1 set in each match against the two opponents that he played against, my gosh so what people Rafa is human just like the rest of the players and every one else loses sets and matches against players that are not as good at the game as them and there is hardly anything said at all, so I say so what if he does lose a set or a match that still does not take away the fact that he is the most outstanding Clay courter ever, and it would take a man of steel too ever beat his record on clay, so why don’t everyone shut their trap and let him play and have some peace. he is far the better clay courter and that is a fact too reckon with. the commentators talk too much also they need to tighten their jaws and just watch the matches allso .. Go Rafa Go!!!!!!!
