“He’s incredible – he’s is the best player that there has ever been on clay! Watching him play on this surface and how he is evolving…”

Nadal has played in seven tournaments since starting his comeback, has reached the final every time and won five titles, which is more than any other player has won on the men’s tour this year.

With his title run in Madrid, Rafael Nadal now has a chance to overtake David Ferrer for the No. 4 ranking and the fourth seed at Roland Garros if he wins this week in Rome. The two are in each other’s quarter at the Italian Masters tournament. Nadal must win Rome in order to do so, regardless of where Ferrer finishes.
