Toni Nadal: “Dicen que soy duro de palabra porque cuando Rafael ha ganado yo he intentado siempre restarle importancia porque al final él ya tiene la recompensa en el premio”

“He’s the best in the world in that respect. His recovery after being away from the game for some time is really commendable. As he said, nobody expected him to get to as many finals and lift as many trophies after his recovery”.

“The most notable one has been Rafa Nadal who has a similar injury. He is still getting pain in the injury but he has come back to a very good level. He is still winning tournaments. I don’t know the full extent of his injury, but it is the same tendon. He was out for about eight or nine months so I know it is possible to come back. We went down different treatment routes as I had an operation and Nadal didn’t, but I know it is possible to return and that is what I will cling on to.”
