It most definitely was the best final ever. After Rafa came so close the year before and also losing the year before that, it was well overdue. The rain delays made the match more tense. It was incredible and i also have the bbc dvd. It was a late but fantastic night.

You summed it up well, Rafa. It was the most exciting match for me, with all its twists and turns. I remember being glued to my seat watching it, and only getting up to go to the bathroom. I’ll never forget the feeling of joy and relief I had when Rafa won.
I relate to all the feeling and emotion shared here by every Rafan. My son gifted with all of Rafa’s significant Majors. 2008 was and will always be a stand-out. The Oz Open 2022 a close second. Watching them again and again lifts me out of the doldrums and disappointments of present-day sporting events. And in those moments of reverie, you brighten up my day, dear Rafa!
The greatest match ever! I was recording it from my tv but the recording stopped before the end. So,I bought the cd from Wimbledon and had it delivered to Australia as a momento and to watch the whole match many times.
I have the C D of the game was very long one but very enjoyable the best ever with Roger and Rafa.
Brings back great memories, teary eyed watching this. Where has that time gone?

I remember it as if it were yesterday. I knew Rafa was good on clay courts and cheered for him. But in 2008 I watched that final and rooted for him to win. That day I can say I became a Rafan for life.
