Rafael Nadal is known for making people incredibly happy, and he did just that in Peru on Saturday. Christian Escalante, a 12 year old suffering from Leukemia, had his dreams come true when he met Rafa at a press conference in Lima ahead of the exhibition match to be played between Rafa and fellow compatriot David Ferrer on Sunday.
In a touching moment, Christian presented Rafa and David personalized Peruvian football team jerseys with their names and ATP rankings displayed on the back, and got hugs, photographs, autographs, and memories to last a lifetime in return. Both players also promised a great match.
What a brave little boy! Vamos, Christian! To many more years of watching our champion Rafa together with us!

This video had me in tears, touching and sensitive moments with Christian. I hope that he gets better and that today will be an inspiration to him, Rafael and David..
