Rafael Nadal has advanced to the BNP Paribas Open finals for the fourth time. He’s won it twice, in 2007 and 09. He beat Tomas Berdych in Saturday’s semifinals, making it 13-3 overall and 12 in a row against the No. 6 seed.
“For me, it’s completely unexpected. To be in the final … it’s a big surprise but I’m here and I’m very, very happy.”
Rafa, who is playing in his first hard court tournament since returning from injury, broke once in a tight opening set to close it out 6-4. Berdych broke at 4-3 in the second to give him the chance to serve out the set and level the match, but Nadal hit back before breaking again to seal the victory 7-5.
UPDATED: The 11-time Grand Slam champion will face Juan Martin del Potro in Sunday’s final.

Hmm it looks like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I had written and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your
blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for novice blog writers? I’d
genuinely appreciate it.
