Rafael Nadal has arrived in Sydney where he will play the Fast4 tennis exhibition ahead of the Australian Open.
Our champ will play alongside Milos Raonic on Monday night in a match-up against Nick Kyrgios and John Millman at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.
Fast4 features four points, four games and four rules, where the first to four games wins the set. There are no advantage scores, lets are played, and tie-breakers occur at three games all.
This may be too late to comment, but I watched Rafa’s match on TC Plus in the US. The first set was Rafa being rusty and Kyrgios being on fire. He played an almost perfect set. Rafa played better in the second set and TB. He was serving well, but did not go all out on the points. I was concerned about that, but Rafa said after the match that he felt fine. He and Milos won their doubles match.
Not too late for me who didn’t get to see Fast4. Thank you so much because this info is still relevant heading in to the AO. I hope Rafa has some whammies up his sleeve for AO competitors.
