Rafa’s accepted a wild-card entry into the 2021 Citi Open and seeks to earn a career milestone – his 100th ATP Tour title – in Washington D.C. With 88 singles and 11 doubles titles to his iconic name, Rafa’s early Citi Open practice sessions on Saturday and Sunday will be open to fans.

The Citi Open represents the first tournament in Rafa’s run-up to the US Open, which he has won four times (2010, 2013, 2017, 2019). A fifth US Open title in September would elevate Rafa to the top of the list of all-time Grand Slam singles championships, breaking the tie he currently holds with Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

GOOD LUCK & VAMOS RAFA!

  1. Disgusting but not surprising behaviour from the world number one, couldn’t be happier to know that it was another Spaniard to stop him taking home an Olympic Medal, Rafa’s turn next to destroy his dreams😃

    • May its also appropriate that Djokovic lost to the Spaniard that had him on the ropes at the U.S. Open last year when he was disqualified. I think Pablo.had him on the brink of a tie break then.

      • From all corners of the globe, the Twitter accounts that I follow are letting everyone know of his despicable on-court behavior. He will also be remembered as a loser!

  2. Djokovic has withdrawn from the mixed doubles, citing a left shoulder injury. So Barty and Peers ane the bronze medalists – well done to them!

Obviously, Djokovic didn’t have the apetite for the fight, just to come away with a bronze medal in the mixed either. My sympathy goes to his mixed doubles partner who was denied the opportunity of a medal.

His team tried to discourage him from entering the mixed doubles, saying he needed to focus soleky on the singles, but he was too determined and hungry to capture the best of everything. In the ebd, his desperation, arrogance and lack of humility were his undoing. Perhaps he should take a leaf out of Rafa’s personality book!!

    • Maybe he has got an injury, but I watched his match against PCB and he didn’t look injured. Very sorry for Nina Stojanovic, who’s missed out on the chance of a bronze medal. I wasn’t at all impressed with Nole today: I know it must be hard to contain your frustration sometimes, but you can’t go chucking rackets around like a toddler having a tantrum.

  3. 1–1 in the 89th minute in quarterfinal of Olympic futbol. Ivory Coast scores in 91st minute. Rafa Mir enters in 91st minute and scores tying goal in 91st minute! Rafa Mir records hat trick and Espana wins 5-2. Rafa Nadal, time to take on the East Coast and do the same: Score winners!

  4. HAHA Djoker’s true colours always find a way to shine through. Throwing and smashing racquets when things don’t go well for him… what’s new? Ugh…

Well done to Zverev and Carreno Busta for showing that Djoker can be humbled.

  5. Congratulations Pablo! 🥉🇪🇸
I had a feeling he would do something at the Games. Playing well coming in to the tournament and without the presence of either Rafa or RBA, he had a chance to shine and is rewarded with the bronze medal. Very happy for him.

  6. So no medal for Djokovic at the Olympics. I guess he’s going to be determined, more than ever, to come back stronger and win his 21st.

Hope all the others especially our Rafa have more confidence to beat him.

Good luck Rafa for all your upcoming matches especially the US. But step by step, ball by ball. 😊

    🍀🍀🍀🤞🤞🤞👍👍👍🤩🤩🤩
