Barcelona Open 2021: Sunday practice photos

After saying goodbye to Monaco in the quarterfinals, Rafael Nadal did not want to waste any time and has already made contact with the Barcelona clay.

Accompanied by Carlos Moyà, Francis Roig and Rafa Maymó, three of his most faithful companions in all his battles, Rafa has practiced, next to a court where Carlos Alcaraz was hitting, for more than an hour, the official Barcelona Open website reported.

  1. VAMOS RAFA!!!!Praying RG will be your NEXT WIN!!!!!Love you SO MUCH!!!!!WILL be WATCHING the EVERY MATCh during RG!!!!I know you’ll WIN it ALL!!!!!!❤️🎾❤️

  2. Dominic Thiem has posted about his withdrawal from the Serbia Open. He didn’t offer a diagnosis except to say he has a knee injury and will continue with moderate training with the hope of returning to the Tour completely fit for the Madrid Masters in May.

Gael Monfils, who withdrew from Monte Carlo due to injury, has also withdrawn.

  3. I hope Rafa will not go full steam ahead in preparation for all events prior to RG. His ultimate focus should be on that Slam. We cannot expect Rafa to win every solitary match. Rafa my Champion just stay safe and healthy. Vamos

  4. Rafa good luck in the next much vamosssssss you are the best in clay all the love from your fans all over the world 🌎 we are whit you ❤️🎾😘👍🇺🇸🌎🇺🇸

  5. Hey there Mimi,

Yes Casper Ruud has withdrawn. Haven’t seen any reason given so not sure if it’s an injury or he just wants a break after his good run in M.C. Hope we’ll see him again soon. He’s a great representative for the RNA.

    • He definitely had some k-tape on one of his arms. Maybe precautionary or maybe sore arm/elbow. Can’t be sure. Maybe he needed to rest it.

  6. I hope that Rafa gears up for Roland Garros and does not push himself too much. He just had an inexplicably off day v Andrey. We well keep faith in our great champion. Rafa Forever.🇪🇸🌟🍀

    • Aha! Thought I’d find you here as well! Lol.
I believe RG has been pushed back 1-2 weeks because of the Covid spikes in France. That should help Rafa recover from these tournaments and get a bit extra rest and prepare better. Fingers crossed.
I agree, Rafa was a shadow of himself against Rublev, even though Rublev did put a lot of pressure on Rafa. Final today was super boring. Wanted Rublev to win even though he beat Rafa, I still like his tenacity and his game. Tsitsipas is too robotic for me.

  7. Rafa will now face either a qualifier or a lucky loser in his first round as Mannarino has been given a bye in the main draw.

Also Roger is skipping both Madrid and Rome. Will play Geneva and R.G.
