  1. The new dates for the French Open are May 30 to June 13. They will also have a night session, to start at 9pm and advertised as “match of the day,” reserved only for the men’s matches.

    Wimbledon officials said their dates are “written in stone” and will not change the schedule. That leaves only two weeks between these two Grand Slams.

  2. The ATP and WTA have announced that The French Open will be delayed for one week.

    “The decision to delay the start of Roland-Garros by one week has been made in the context of recently heightened COVID-19 restrictions in France, with the additional time improving the likelihood of enhanced conditions and ability to welcome fans at the event.”

  3. There’s a good article in The Telegraph by Simon Briggs, entitled ” Tennis Stars’ Vaccine Response is Selfish, Blinkered and Damaging to the Sport”. In it, he criticises the “selfish” attitude of some young tennis stars towards the covid vaccine and compares it to the views of Rafa who, according to Briggs, sees family and community as the most important values.

  5. Rafa’s doctor, Angel Ruiz Cotorro, announced that “He [Rafa] is training well and hard. His goal is the clay season, starting in Monte Carlo and, of course, his ultimate goal is Roland Garros.”

      • Mimi, RNA announced that Rafa’s uncle, Toni, will start a coaching collaboration with FAA’s technical team. Supposedly Toni is already in Monte Carlo along with Rafa.

        Don’t forget that both Rafa and Roger have their own sports management companies and I don’t doubt for a minute that both companies are looking to represent tennis stars.

        FAA seems pretty pleased with the venture which will start at this Monte Carlo masters. Toni will work him to death. LOL

  7. Outfit colors too feminine for a buff guy like Nadal…but he is such a “hottie” he looks good in everything! He is my all time favorite male tennis player I love watching him play! 😊❤❤❤

  13. JUST GIMME SOME RAFA.

    I don’t care what he wears as long as he is comfortable. He will most likely look great in these colors especially since he has a great tan. He can pull off colors that a lot of people can’t wear, male or female. I think it’s great that men now have more of a choice in color selection for clothing.

    Any outfit will suit you so please go ahead. However please note that age is catching up you very fast hence please make use of the available time by correcting some of your basic weaknessses like returning the balls in the center of the opposite court, Services in critical points, Please go for different coaches who can improve your small weak spots, improve long rallies , if required prolong defensive game etc. Different coaches definitely will bring good changes in your aggressive game. Changes is a must and that is the reality.

    • Wow, critiqueing Rafa’s game. I am sure he, more than ANY other player, knows his weak spots and works on improving them every day of his life. He says it all the time.

  20. Rafael oozes masculinity. Why wear something that looks so feminine? Not keen on the outfit at all but it is the body inside that counts. He will pull it off. He could wear anything and look AMAZING! So want him to win The French! Love him.
