PHOTOS: Rafael Nadal’s Outfit for Monte Carlo, Barcelona, Madrid and Rome 2021

Here is what Rafael Nadal is supossed to wear during clay court tournaments prior to the French Open.

Let me know what you think of the outfit in the comments below.

  1. I got this from Tennis Tonic. I can’t vouch for its accuracy but thought I would post it to get an idea of what Rafa’s road to the final might look like. As we all know, draws can change throughout a tournament.

    R1 – Bye

    R2 – Adrian Mannarino (35) – H2H 2-0

    R3 – Grigor Dimitrov (17) – H2H 13-1
    or Alexander Bublik (42) – H2H 0-0

    1/4 – Andrey Rublev (8) – H2H 2-0
    or Roberto Bautista Agut (11) – H2H 3-0

    1/2 – Daniil Medvedev (2) – H2H 3-1
    or Diego Sebastian Schwartzman (9) – H2H 10-1

    Fin – Novak Djokovic (1) – H2H 27-29
    or Stefanos Tsitsipas (5) – H2H 6-2

  2. Lorna re yours @3:57PM
I finally located an rmcsport article. I have the suspicion that rmcsport is attributing the “men only” night session comment to AMAZON. I couldn’t find anything on that.

Did you read rmcsport’s article? You’re pretty good at flushing out information so if you want to give it a go that would be great. It’s in French but I am not familiar with a lot of the vocabulary.

Here’s the title of the article which can help easily to find it:

I sent this hours ago but my reply buttons don’t work.

    • Margo, I don’t know about me being good at flushing out information. Let’s just say that like you, I’m keen to research….

Thanks for providing the title of the article by RMC Sport. I’ve read it and yes, it does seem that RMC Sport is attributing men only matches to Amazon.

From what I can gather, it states that, according to their information, there will be an equal number of men’s and women’s matches on PC. At 9pm Amazon, who has exclusivity to the night sessions, will broadcast a men’s match solely and it is proposing ten night sessions 23rd May – 2nd June (now 30th May – 9th June since RG has been delayed by one week).

  3. Mimi re yours @11:40PM
My reply buttons are not working.

CONGRATZ to you on getting your Fauchi ouchie. I imagine you are as happy as I was when I got mine. Trust me, I HATE needles.

    • Thank you Margo.🙏 Fauchi ouchie – such good description, I like it. I ❤️ Dr. Fauchi.
You are right.👍 My husband and I were happy and thankful!

  4. Interesting to see that Felix A.A. has added Toni Nadal to his coaching team starting with this clay season. FAA needs a little something extra to push him higher so this may fill the bill. Best of luck to him.

  5. Margo, I’ve just read that French Open offiicials have denied reports that the night session matches will feature men only. The day’s play [on Phillipe-Chatrier] wiill [therefore] consist of three day matches abd one night match. The fourth match, the match of the day……could be either a men’s match or a women’s match depending on the order of play decided by the head tournament umpire”.

Let’s hope this is the case, otherwise the women will make their feelings known.

    • You are correct Lorna and thank you for the correction. I have asked Luigi Gatto @gigicat7_ for his source.

      • You’re welcome Margo. French news organisation RMC Sport made the claim about only men’s night matches and the FFT denied it.

  6. The new dates for the French Open are May 30 to June 13. They will also have a night session, to start at 9pm and advertised as “match of the day,” reserved only for the men’s matches.

Wimbledon officials said their dates are “written in stone” and will not change the schedule. That leaves only two weeks between these two Grand Slams.

  7. The ATP and WTA have announced that The French Open will be delayed for one week.

“The decision to delay the start of Roland-Garros by one week has been made in the context of recently heightened COVID-19 restrictions in France, with the additional time improving the likelihood of enhanced conditions and ability to welcome fans at the event.”

  8. There’s a good article in The Telegraph by Simon Briggs, entitled ” Tennis Stars’ Vaccine Response is Selfish, Blinkered and Damaging to the Sport”. In it, he criticises the “selfish” attitude of some young tennis stars towards the covid vaccine and compares it to the views of Rafa who, according to Briggs, sees family and community as the most important values.

  9. Rafa’s doctor, Angel Ruiz Cotorro, announced that “He [Rafa] is training well and hard. His goal is the clay season, starting in Monte Carlo and, of course, his ultimate goal is Roland Garros.”

      • Mimi, RNA announced that Rafa’s uncle, Toni, will start a coaching collaboration with FAA’s technical team. Supposedly Toni is already in Monte Carlo along with Rafa.

      • Mimi, I sure hope it works out. The ATP has an extended article about it.

Don’t forget that both Rafa and Roger have their own sports management companies and I don’t doubt for a minute that both companies are looking to represent tennis stars.

FAA seems pretty pleased with the venture which will start at this Monte Carlo masters. Toni will work him to death. LOL

      • Fingers crossed it will. Oh ok, thank you Margo.🙏 For sure I will look for that article in a bit.
I think uncle Toni will give FAA a little break because he is not Rafa.😅

BTW., have you received your vaccination yet? I received my first dose of Pfizer this morning.

  10. Outfit colors too feminine for a buff guy like Nadal…but he is such a “hottie” he looks good in everything! He is my all time favorite male tennis player I love watching him play! 😊❤❤❤

  11. WONDERFUL, GOOD LUCK! Nothing less than the trophy. 21st Grand slam. 🙋‍♂️🌈🌞☀️💥🎉🎉🎉💐💐💐🎊

  12. No outfit defines Rafa’s game n persona.. It’s just his electric game 💪 n awesome dedication which makes Nadal what he is today..👏👍
A thorough gentleman n a wonderfull human being…❤️👏👍👍🏼 Remember the concerned Rafa for that ball girl in Australia!! Great gesture to meet her again after the game along with girls’ family..❤️❤️👏👏🙏🏼🙏🏼🎉🎉
Love you Rafa.. Go, live your dream..👍🏼🙏🏼
