NBA legend and Lakers star Kobe Bryant (41) was among nine people who died in a helicopter crash Sunday morning in Southern California.
Rafael Nadal took to Twitter to react to the passing of one of the greatest basketball players:
I woke up this morning with the horrible news of the tragic death of one of the greatest sportsman in the world. Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and other passengers. My condolences to his wife and families. I am in shock.

I am still at a loss for words. This is just so heartbreaking. My prayers are with his family and loved ones.
I am outraged that the pilot was given clearance to fly in “foggy” conditions.
